In botany, the fruit is the seed-bearing structure in flowering plants (angiosperm) formed from the ovary after flowering. Fresh fruits are generally high in fiber, vitamins, and water. Regular consumption of fruits is associated with the functional declines related to aging and reduced risk of several diseases, including hearing loss. To keep your body fit all vitamins, minerals, potassium, magnesium plays an important role. These things do not only help to make you fit but can also protect your hearing. Fruits are one of the great sources of all these things. Thus, eating fruits can protect your hearing.

Oranges

The Orange is the fruit of the citrus species, it is also known as sweet orange. Sweet orange is originated in ancient China. Like all citrus fruits, Orange pulp is an excellent source of vitamin c, providing 64% of it in 100gm. Vitamin C includes lots of antioxidants in it. Antioxidants help in preventing damage to the ear.

Mango

Mangoes are juicy stone fruit (drupe) from numerous species of tropical trees belonging to the flowering plant genus Magnifera, cultivated mostly for their edible fruit. Fresh mango contains a variety of nutrients but only vitamin C and folate are in significant amounts. These vitamin C by using its antioxidants protects hearing from damage.

Pineapple

The Pineapple(Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant with edible fruit, also called pineapples. Pineapple (especially raw) is a rich source of manganese and vitamin C. Pineapple protects hearing damage by using its antioxidants.

Strawberries

A garden strawberry is a widely grown hybrid species, collectively known as strawberries which are cultivated worldwide. Strawberry contains approximately 33 kilocalories, is an excellent source of vitamin C, a good source of manganese, and provides other vitamins and dietary minerals in lesser amounts. Strawberries help in protecting hearing damage by using vitamin C and antioxidants which protect hearing.

 

Banana           

 Banana is an edible fruit. Raw bananas(without peel) contains water, carbohydrates, proteins, and negligible fats. Bananas are thought to contains exceptional potassium content. Potassium helps in regulating fluid in the inner ear which is important because if these fluid level gets dropped it will result in hearing loss. Eating banana can help in maintaining this fluid level.

Melons

 A melon is any of various plants of the family Cucurbitaceae with sweet edible, fleshy fruit. Melons include fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, cantaloupe.

Melons contain a high amount of potassium and vitamins. Eating melons regularly can give you protection against hearing loss.

Papaya

 Papaya is a tropical fruit plant that is widely cultivated. Papaya contains 88% of water, carbohydrates, and negligible fats and proteins. Apart from these, papaya is a rich source of vitamin C and vitamin E. Vitamin C includes lots of antioxidants that protect the ear from hearing loss. Vitamin E also has some antioxidant properties and improves circulation. Papaya is considered to be beneficial for the hair cells in the inner ear as it includes vitamin E.

Apricot           

An apricot is a fruit or the tree that bears fruit, of several species in a genus Prunus(stone fruit). Apricot contains 48 calories, carbohydrates, proteins, fat, and water. Apricot is a great source of vitamin C. Apart from this, dried apricot is an excellent source of vitamin A, vitamin E, potassium and iron. Vitamin C here protects the ear from hearing loss, Vitamin A helps in better hearing, Vitamin E is beneficial for inner hair cells and protects them from damage, and potassium help against the age-related hearing loss. Thus, in all way apricot is beneficial for hearing.

Kiwi

Kiwifruit (known as kiwi) Or Chinese gooseberry, is the edible berry of several species of woody vines in the genus Actinidia. Kiwifruit contains 61 calories, 83% water and 15% carbohydrates with negligible protein and fats. It is rich in vitamin C and vitamin K and has a moderate amount of vitamin E. Vitamin C and E give protection against hearing loss.

Avocado           

The avocado (Persea Americana), a tree with probable origin in Mexico, is classified as the member of the flowering plant family Lauraceae. It has a moderate amount of vitamin B and vitamin K, with good content of vitamin C, vitamin E, and potassium. Vitamin B gives protection against noise-induced hearing loss. Vitamin C has lots of antioxidants which protect us from hearing loss. Vitamin E protects small hair cells in the outer ear from damage.
